Meet the Pastor

David felt God’s calling to train for the Christian ministry in 2009 after working for over 15 years as a qualified and registered RMN (mental health nurse)

David initially worked in inpatient units in Leicester and Barnstaple before spending the bulk of his career as an adult Community Psychiatric Nurse covering Exmoor and then finally Pembrokeshire from 2003 when he moved to Wales.

David did his post-grad theology studies at Cardiff University and ministerial preparation at the South Wales Baptist College in Cardiff while working in Pisgah as a part time student minister.

David was ordained in 2011 and received a calling to continue his ministry here full time.

David took a couple of years out of ministry to join his wife as they looked after their son during his bone marrow transplant at Newcastle. They returned in April 2017 when both they and the Church felt that God was leading them to re-join us at Pisgah.

In the past year David completed a six month  ‘return to practice’ course to re-activate his Nurse registration after feeling led to combine both past and present vocations in a bivocational ministry role - he now divides his time between Pisgah and his NHS staff nurse post.

David will be the new president of the Pembrokeshire Baptist Association for 2018/2019 - read more about this by clicking here

David lives with his wife Emma and their four children Samuel, Michael, Jacob, Isaac and  his labs Gwyn and Nel. “
